I have pretty much finished my first Monarch! Wings are laminated photo paper.
I will take "proper" photos against a sweep later in the week, after I add in the "eyes" on his breastplate logo, and gloss in the eyes/teeth!
I will probably redden/lighten the beard/eyebrows, as the brownish-red I made seems a little too dark.
All in all, I'm pleased. I opted for a wall-eyed look, so maybe I'll try a sideways glance next time. Here's a Coke can for scale:
I'll start on the Dr/ Girlfriend sculpt soon, but I have an awful lot to do between now and mid-July, deadline-wise, so she may have to wait a month or two. I don't want to rush her!
